Andrea Carpentieri

CHER

CHER is the prototype of a virtual reality video game for cultural heritage, funded after winning the Innonetwork regional call. Andrea Carpentieri produced the 3D character models and animated them with motion capture, and built the virtual reality platform with Unity 3D software. The project was developed with Insynchlab, where he worked as VR designer and character animator.

The project, led by IMAGO cooperativa sociale with nine other companies including Insynchlab, ranked eighteenth among the 121 applications and 56 admitted to the call, with funding of 900,000 euros. It aims to reconstruct content and landscapes, including sound, to be explored in virtual reality and with touchable video, using a modular digital storytelling method and a gamification system.
