Bisceglie Cathedral Museum

For the Museo della Cattedrale in Bisceglie, Andrea Carpentieri produced the multimedia content of the visitor route. Along the route, three documentary videos are projected onto the inner walls of the burial crypt and the Stanza del Casale, and eight videos with characters in period costume tell the history of the cathedral.

The edutainment content includes four animated virtual reconstructions in VR and four in AR, experienced with Epson Moverio, as well as tactile maps for blind visitors with audio guides accessible through QR codes. The cathedral was digitised with 3D laser scanning and photogrammetry; the point cloud was processed to rebuild a textured 3D model, used for outreach and for the 3D-printed cross-section.

The busts of the three patron saints were digitised in the same way. The work was produced for Imago, with Andrea Di Tondo, Andrea Avallone and Michele Priore; Carpentieri followed the project as project manager and multimedia designer.
