Focareddha 2022
Presicce
In Presicce, the Focareddha was accompanied by a projection mapping with 3D content, designed and produced by Andrea Carpentieri for the Comune di Presicce-Acquarica. His work on the Focareddha involves projecting onto the large stack of brushwood before it is lit. The brushwood structure is built by local craftspeople. The Focareddha is the great bonfire lit every year on the eve of Saint Andrew the Apostle, patron saint of Presicce.
For the 2022 edition the structure, the work of skilled craftspeople, was inspired by the ancient paiaroni of Salento and could be visited in the days before the lighting, which was also followed via live streaming.
