Focareddha 2023
Presicce
For the feast of Sant’Andrea in Presicce, Andrea Carpentieri created a laser projection mapping linked to the Focareddha. His work on the Focareddha in Presicce involves projecting onto the large stack of brushwood before it is lit. The brushwood structure is built by local craftspeople. The Focareddha is the great bonfire lit every year on the eve of the feast of Saint Andrew the Apostle, patron saint of Presicce, and is entered in the regional register of festive fire rituals. In the 2023 edition the stack was inspired by the dovecote towers of Salento.
